Mr S.B. Choughule has more than 30 years of industry experience and is currently a member of Port & Logistics Committee with Maharashtra Chambers of Commerce and Industry. He is also a visiting faculty at Mumbai University for International Business, Foreign Trade Policy, Logistics & Shipping, Maritime Laws.
He started his career in Docks Department, Mumbai Port Trust. He has worked with companies like ESSAR Coastal Ltd (Private port operator in Gujarat), POL India Shipping Agency Ltd (Shipping Agency), Garware Marine Industries Ltd – (Manufacturer importer) and Pakkaj Extrusion Ltd (Export House). He has handled import export cargo at various ports, container terminal/CFS/ICD projects in India and setting up logistics base of shipping line. Thus he has vast experience in Port and Shipping industry and logistics sector of India.
Mr Choughule completed his post graduate studies specializing in Foreign Trade from Pondicherry University. He is also an MBA-Executive Master of International Business from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade-New Delhi. He has obtained fellowship in shipping Management through Narottam Morarajee Institute of Shipping –Mumbai.
He has also written articles on various topics related to India’s foreign trade and maritime trade and transport in news weekly – Bhandarkar Shipping, Mumbai. Currently he is writing for “port & Infrastructure, Ahmadabad.
He has attended international seminars including 2nd and 3rd South Asia Port-Shipping and Logistics Seminar - 2007 and ‘08 held in Mumbai, “Material Handling in port” organized by Adani port and SEZ Mundra in January 2010.
